After settling in last night, being given banamine, ulcer medication and a warm specially formulated Mash, he is perkier and digging into his food this morning! I am so thrilled to see this! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ

Beautiful ,right? In a world so focused on Aesthet Beautiful ,right? In a world so focused on Aesthetics, on what is considered beautiful... Let me tell you something about 'beauty.' There are more times than not it means NOTHING. It does not 'save you'. Beautiful horses like this ship to slaughter everyday with no one even so much as batting an eye. This one? Ships to slaughter tonight. While I am all about beautiful... I've come to learn that it doesn't mean NEARLY so much as so many place epmpahasis upon. Sad reality,isnt it?
ROJO~Is now his name,and hes going to need a lot o ROJO~Is now his name,and hes going to need a lot of help. Alright, here is where we are: I was able to purchase this horse late last night, hence why I just now getting to the update. He is safely paid for, his transport is already arranged. Now I would like to explain the process for those who do not yet already understand it. The pick up and transport fee to immediate and Urgent Care is thankfully the discounted rate of $200. His daily care will now be $17.50 per day, plus whatever vet bills are necessary to fully assess his health situation. We do not know what all is going on with him just yet, but we will shortly. I will update as we go, and walk everybody through this one. So fingers crossed, and please know that he is now going to be in fabulous hands with my trusted and amazing friend Lawrence, who spares NO expense to do all that is necessary for each and every horse in his care. This horse in particular is a true rescue... And if you feel so cold to help with his journey to recovery, by all means... So..... This poor guy is going through the auction So..... This poor guy is going through the auction ring tonight. What do you all say we help him not go to a Kill buyer? Unfortunately for him... He is a stallion and most people do not want to fool with a stallion. I am not most people. I see a real diamond in the rough here, imagine him healthy,gelded,and rehabilitated?!!! I cannot say for sure how much he will be, but I'm guessing around 500. I'm going to do my damnedest to prevent him from going to a Kill pen tonight. Then & Now~ Kode Redd, rescued privately August 6t Then & Now~ Kode Redd, rescued privately August 6th 2020 has come a hell of a long way in just over a month. Winning Hearts immediately with his larger-than-life personality and stunning looks... He bounced back beautifully under the wonderful care of my dear friend Ginger. Now, he will make his way to Beaumont for even more love oh, and we will welcome him with open arms! The first photo is of him on August 6th while still in the kill pen... I'm sure many of you remember stunning Acorn, save I'm sure many of you remember stunning Acorn, saved from Slaughter in Colorado two months ago? Well here he is now, along with all his other kill pin save friends and in their permanent loving home together!
